Mughal Brass Ewer

This brass ewer is lightly chased all over with floral and leaf motifs. The hinged lid, which terminated with a flower bud finial, is attached via a rounded flange.
The body is cast with central tear-drop cartouches to either side. These are also etched with floral motifs. The handle terminates with a stylised lotus bud. The
spout is long and similarly engraved.
The ewer stands on four flared feet.
