Nepalese Leparello Manuscript

A 13-page leparello manuscript, most likely a tantric text, comprising 13 pages inscribed in
black and red ink on both sides in Newari script, five ruled lines to a page, and with three
full-page colour illustrations, each with two separate depictions of the Buddha. The first and
last sides have been dyed black and serve as covers. They also have a further five lines of
script in black, now largely illegible. The manuscript is on handmade paper that is speckled
with gold dust throughout and stained yellow with a native insecticide. The manuscript is in
good condition with wear to several corners and some minor creasing.
