A stunning necklace of ten hollow-cast, lac-filled silver mangoes each suspended from a native cotton woven rope, known as a manga malai or 'necklace of
mangoes'.
Necklaces such as these were worn as fertility amulets - mangoes being symbolic of fertility.
The necklace is stable and wearable.
