Silver-Inlaid Betel Cutters

This cutter is in the shape of a winged horse. The projection near the top handle represents the tail. The sheafs are in silver and the body is inlaid with brass
wire in the Balinese Hindu
banji motif.

Provenance: acquired at Christie’s, Auction of the Estate of Adrian Noe, Jakarta 1996.
