This large, solid-silver ring was to be worn on the thumb. Of adjustable, overlapping ‘C’-shaped form, it is decorated all over with very fine applied silver wire, plaques and granulation work, arrayed in bands across the entire surface. The edges, top and bottom, are decorated with more applied granulation work.
Related rings are illustrated in Rajab (1998, p. 39).
The example here has a good patina and wear associated with age and use. Its condition is very good: there are no losses or repairs.
