Carved Wash Stand

The stand has six legs. The top cross bar supports two
scrolling carvings. The back plate has a mirror (a later
addition) and two carved, open-work panels each featuring
a deer and a bird amid flowers and foliage.
Porcelain, white brass or paktong basins were kept on such
stands for washing. See Item 18 for an example of a basin.
