Two Silver Zarfs

The two, each of flaring ‘tulip’ form have tughra and maker's marks. One is engraved with a beaded and foliage border. The other is plain other than for a
repeated palm motif border. Each has a pearled or beaded rim at top and bottom.
Zarfs were used in many parts of the Ottoman empire to hold small porcelain cups in which hot, thick Turkish coffee was served.
