This Qajar incense burner and cover has finely executed open-work all over in the form
of flowing tendrils and flowers between cartouches engraved with Islamic calligraphy and
figures in Qajar dress, complimented by additional floral bands. The lid is surmounted by
an engraved lotus petal finial. The base sits on a low foot engraved with a floral band.
Overall, there are no losses to the open-work and the burner and cover has an even
chocolate patina.
