Silver Koran Case and Koran

A silver Koran case in octagonal form with a
hinged cover and two hinged loops. Inside is a
small octagonal Koranic booklet, printed or
stamped. Such a small Koran case, with the
Koranic booklet inside, was carried by
individuals as a protective amulet. Typically
they were worn on the upper arm but out of
respect to the contents, never below the waist.
