Tinned Brass & Copper Hookah Base & Stem

This tinned hookah base and stem have been cast in brass. The bottom of the wide, flared base is of hammered copper. The base and stem have been
engraved with elaborate scrolling foliage motifs in keeping with the Islamic origins of the piece. The engraving has allowed the brass base metal to come
through permitting a pleasing contrast between the engraved motifs and the tinned surface.
The base comes with the water-pipe stem which is unusual, as more typically these are lost.
