This interesting pair of twisted ‘C’-shaped bracelets or bangles, and a single twisted, round bangle, traditionally were worn exclusively by women of the Vaghadia Rabari people, based mostly in the Kutch area of Guajarat.

All three are made of high-grade but hollow silver.

Similar examples are illustrated in van Cutsem (2002, p. 346).

The Vaghadia Rabaris were semi-nomadic. They are Hindu, but the women tend to dress mostly in black.

The three bracelets here are in excellent condition.
