Monk’s Cap, Gelugpa or ‘Yellow Hat’ Sect

This yellow monk’s cap of wool over a red and blue cotton interior has significant obvious age (unlike many similar Tibetan artifacts.) It is the hat that all Gelugpa monks wear, as shown in the original early post card below.
