Very Fine Chased Silver Cup
Kutch, India
circa 1880

height: 9cm, width: 9cm, weight: 150g

This is a colonial Indian silver cup from Kutch of unusual quality - the photographs do not sufficiently convey its superior quality. Of baluster form, with an
everted lip and a curved 'S'-shaped handle, it is finely chased in unusually high relief with Islamic-inspired scrolling flower and foliage motifs against a finely
tooled background. The top and bottom of the body have repeated leaf borders.

The cup does not have a maker's mark but it is of the finest quality. It is also in perfect condition.
