This beautiful, small cast and chiselled bronze shows Ganesh (Ganesha) seated on a stool and supporting his consort on his left knee. He has four arms.
Ganesh’s trunk veers to his right where the lower right hand holds a modaka sweet.
The rectangular dais on which Ganesh sits is raised on four small feet. It is decorated with cross-hatching.
The bronze would have adorned the altar of a household. It has much puja wear from handling, caressing and ritual bathing.
