Mughal Gold Ring set with an Emerald and Rubies

This fine gold ring from northern India and Mughal in style, dates to the 19th century and possibly earlier.

The gold tests to at least 22 carats, and it is set with a large emerald cabochon and on each side a ruby cabochon, surrounded by gold granulation work.

The hoop of the ring is decorated with small flower and leaf motifs.

The ring is stable and wearable. It has ample signs of age.
